Debra Levine was an early member of ACT UP and has written extensively about AIDS activism and queer demonstrations of care during the early years of the HIV/AIDS crisis. She taught in the Drama Department at New York University, at NYU Abu Dhabi, and is currently Director of Undergraduate Studies and Lecturer in Theater, Dance & Media at Harvard University.
